Description

This interactive seminar covers the main classes of psychotropic medications. It also includes clinical materials related to the interaction of psychotherapy and medication treatment of the patients.

Following the emergence of the new medications in psychiatry, the prevailing attitudes about mental health and treatment have been changing rapidly. A basic understanding of psychotropic medications is now essential in any psychotherapy practice. At the conclusion of this seminar the participants will be familiar with the main classes of psychotropic medications and how they affect their patients and the psychotherapy process. This seminar is continuously revised and updated. Attending this seminar is open to the mental health providers of all disciplines.
